Ana’s Soul Art Day Interview

When did you know you were an artist?

Since I was a child my favorite thing on earth was drawing. I chose Graphic Design as a career. It was after working some time at a design studio when I knew my passion was art and I started taking art classes on different techniques.

How do you get into the creative zone?

First I create sacred space. I clean my table, light a candle, set the intention to express myself creatively and meditate centering myself and connecting with my creative spirit. Then I start playing with whatever material I choose to work on or a topic I want to explore and let myself be guided. I know I got into the creative zone when my mind and my body are relaxed and I just go with the flow of whatever is showing up.

Who is your art for?

I guess I do it for myself. For me art is a very sacred practice. I’m quite private about it and work mostly on sketchbooks and art journals. I don’t use to post and share what I do publicly, but recently I have been feeling the need to start sharing my work.
