Whitney’s Soul Art Day Interview

What challenges have you overcome to claim your life as an artist?

I grew up a total wanna-be artist. I believed an art teacher when I was 9 years old who said “Drawing isn’t your thing.” When I opened my art center in 1996, I had never painted on a canvas! So…

What inspires you?

I believe the biggest goal in this lifetime for each of us is to remember that we are HERE to create. We can remember how to co-create the art that is our life with our Infinite Self. We can remember how to do this at the canvas… developing self-awareness and getting to know how what we focus on expands, etc. So for me, the goal is to live life as art and a Life Artist, fulfilled and living authentically– which has to mean that we are intimately connected with our infinitely creative nature.

Why do you make art?

To connect to higher levels of consciousness within me… to meditate. … to heal. … to remember.
