Thit Andersen
A Certified Soul Art® Guide to inspire your journey
Thit’s Soul Art Day Interview
What is an artist myth you’ve busted?
When I began my Soul Art Journey back in 2017 I hadn’t worked with paint as a medium before. I have a background in writing and photography so that was always my natural go to mediums when I had to express myself creatively. I always envied “real” artists, like Laura Hollick, who could paint and draw but I thought that was a question of talent. Something you were born with. Or without. (Oddly enough, I never thought that about photography or writing!). But that’s not true. Everybody can learn to paint and draw. It’s about practice, experimenting, learning skills, finding your own voice and finding the right teachers that resonate with you and that give you confidence. Also, being an artist isn’t the same as being a professional artist. Not all people want to make art their professional careers.
What inspires you?
That can be things like nature, my everyday life, different mediums, color and other artists and the way they work and create.
Why do you make art?
I enjoy it. It makes me happy to make art and it’s very relaxing. I love how I discover the world through art. And it’s an experience I can share with others.
