Annie Roy, My art is more than mere aesthetics—it’s a lifeline, a sanctuary where I find solace and healing. from Canada
Currently in a transition period in my life. I am embracing rebirth & healing. I am thriving for peace. Everyday i am evolving into my authentic self. This seemed like the perfect opportunity for healing journey.
How would you describe your creative process?
I let go & just went with the first thing that was on my canvas. I body mapped my hand. Representing that my hands are always open to new possibilities. I have tried so many avenues in life to heal myself. They have all benefitted me somehow. I am open minded to try anything at least once, as long as my intuition agrees. The words that came to me were authentic self, peace and nature. The colors to me represents calmness. Starting by painting the hand, I let my brush connect to many different shapes. Symbolic of my life, how I always evolve from every situation. I added leaves to add the nature.
What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?
To embrace the journey, keep going & believe in my authentic self.
What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?
Creating art by getting in touch with my intention was really therapeutic for me. This approach speaks to me more than having a deep conversation with a therapist. I enjoy this process and I think many others would. Even if you are just starting or not even artistic, you can really benefit from this experience. The community that was a really amazing opportunity to get involved & enjoy the connection to the healing we all felt that day.
