What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?
Well I wasn’t going to – I’m on a ‘go slow’ at the moment so I decided to just see what everyone else did instead. But then after watching everyone in the studio and what people at home were doing, I changed my mind!
How would you describe your creative process?
Different – I usually use collage when I do Soul Art, so this time I decided to use paint because I’ve recently done an intuitive painting course. I re-watched Laura’s video from the certification program on using ‘energetic symbolism’ and followed where my brushes and fingers led.
What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?
My body map initially looked like a tree, and it developed into what looked like fireworks, which made me think of this Katy Perry song – the lyrics are highly relevant to my intention: Do you know that there’s still a chance for you ’cause there’s a spark in you you just gotta ignite the light and let it shine just own the night like the 4th of July ’cause baby, you’re a firework come on, show ’em what you’re worth make them go, oh oh oh as you shoot across the sky baby, you’re a firework come on, let your colors burst!
What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?
Be prepared for unexpected results! The insights are a surprise and usually a challenge but always meaningful and moving.
