What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?
I’ve been doing a version of soul art for approximately five years now. Inspired by reading Carl Jung I started using my art as a tool for creative healing and it’s been a journey of love, healing and inspiration. The desire to connect to life and to love is my inspiration. How happy I am to find lovely beings that are just as delighted and ignited by art, soul, and heart as I am.
How would you describe your creative process?
I am an early riser. Up usually between 4:30am and 5am. My mornings involve a varied combination of singing mantras, meditation, shamanic journeying, art journaling as well as some study. All of these practices open me to expansive exploration of the inner world and the imagery that flows from that sacred space. I am a poet and a mixed-media artist so I delve in to my art delighting in trying new techniques while holding those I love best near to my heart.
What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?
Oh my…so much to share but to condense, Soul arting has shown me that although my journey is a uniquely personal one, it is at the same time, a timeless and one that is shared with the whole of humanity. My art allows my subconscious to connect with me on a very deep level. Through image it allows me to explore my heart, soul, and purpose in a non-threatening visual and tactile manor. The process is loyal and always there for me. I receive much and am grateful.
With yesterday’s “Honey’ed Heart” Art experience, I was allowed to go deeper into my current journeying into exploring the many facets of Love and how I am led to express it within my own mind, my family, my community, my world and my Creator.
What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?
We all contribute to the whole of existence, let’s live fully. Life is meant to affect us deeply, and we are meant to respond fully.
