What Inspired you to do a Soul Art journey?
I have been painting faces with intentions underneath them, and inspirational words around the faces. This seemed another great project to dip my feet into. I am really interested in doing art that can give me insights, and help me heal, help me let go of that which I don’t need.
How would you describe your creative process?
I paint a great deal using acrylic inks , and I try out new ways of capturing flowers, the sea, faces etc. I paint when I can , normally on the kitchen table , or outside. I love to get messy and let myself go; painting is my meditation.
What insight did you receive from your Soul Art?
That I was capturing the essence of my granny, that she is around in spirit, encouraging me on my creative journey. I also noted that I have emotional blockages that need clearing, and that I do not need to balance art, kids, husband and home at the moment , all I can do is be me, and be the best version of me I can be, and know that this changes. Go with the flow more, and don’t try so hard. Trust. Let go of guilt, for it does not serve me , and see what (positive emotion) jumps in to take its place .
What is the most important thing you would like to share about your Soul Art experience?
That many insights came to light, which is fantastic, because I am on a healing journey, and this experience really helped me. I am grateful. Thank you . It is also lovely to see what everyone else has created. X
